Taylor Swift hears loud boos at Super Bowl LIX after Trump gets raucous cheer

Taylor Swift is no longer on her “ERAS Tour.”

The pop star appeared at the Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans on Sunday, where fans there gave her a big chorus of boos when she was shown at Caesar's Super Dome Jumbotron.

Swift didn't seem too familiar to the massive crowd or comfortable as the expression turned visibly into a nervous mess as the chorus began.

Swift appears in last year's big game in Las Vegas, where she is in attendance at her second Super Bowl after cheering on her boyfriend and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Many NFL fans have become critical of Swift's constant display on Jumbotron, which dates back to the air and last season.

The booing by the crowd coincided with a barrage of heavy boos that welcomed the Chief as a team as they ran through the tunnel before the game.

As Kelce's girlfriend, Swift quickly became an iconic figure within the Chiefs franchise. However, Swift's football roots lie with the Eagles, as he grew up as a Pennsylvania Eagles fan.

Swift and her father abandoned this fandom when they began dating Kelse last season, so the crowd treated her in New Orleans accordingly.

And before Swift was relentlessly booed by the Superdome crowd, that same crowd gave President Donald Trump a raucous cheer when he was shown on screen before the match.

Swift notoriously recognized former Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election on September 10th. After Swift announced her support, Trump said, “I hate Taylor Swift!”

Sunday's Superdome crowd appears to be more consistent with Trump about that debate.
