Taylor Swift Skips Chiefs’ First Game

Taylor Swift was absent from the Kansas City Chiefs’ opening game. She’s currently engaged to Travis Kelce, the Chiefs’ star tight end, but it seems she didn’t make the trip to São Paulo, Brazil, for the match against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Considering the travel involved to attend the game at NeoQuímica Arena on Friday nights, it’s not surprising that Swift opted out this time. And honestly, she must have a lot on her plate. Given how high-profile she is, the security measures must be overwhelming, making it likely safer for her to cheer from her couch at home.

The buzz around their recent engagement is hard to ignore; they shared the news through Instagram just before the season kicked off. Travis Kelce recently expressed his gratitude for the public’s support, mentioning, “I appreciate everyone who reached out and sent something, and all the posts, all the excitement that’s going on,” during a podcast episode.

Interestingly, Kelce and Swift were seen together at a Cincinnati Bearcats game recently, marking the first time he introduced her as his fiancée. He mentioned that she was “pretty cool” with the whole situation.

As the Chiefs kick off Kelce’s 13th season, there’s some chatter around potential retirement. He hinted at pondering retirement after the Super Bowl LIX loss to the Philadelphia Eagles but decided to return to play in 2025. It’s kind of a rollercoaster, isn’t it? With life changes and sports commitments all intertwining, who knows what lies ahead?

Swift may have missed this game, but there’s speculation she might attend the upcoming Super Bowl rematch against the Eagles on September 14. Only time will tell!
