Taylor Swift recently shared a humorous story about how Zoe Kravitz, known for her distinctive style, caused a bit of chaos at Swift’s Beverly Hills home after losing her pet Burmese python during a stay there amid the California wildfires.
Swift recounted that she received a call from her security team detailing the unusual situation, with her first question being, “What type of snake?” She hadn’t even realized a snake was loose in her house.
Speaking on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” Swift lightheartedly mentioned both Kravitz and her mother, Lisa Bonet, after Kravitz lost her python named Orpheus. The snake had managed to sneak into a wall while Bonet was washing her face in one of the mansion’s bathrooms.
In a rather comical scene, as Kravitz and Bonet attempted to catch the slippery snake, someone ended up using an ax to dismantle part of a vintage cupboard in Swift’s home. Unfortunately, the python got its body stuck in the wall during the chaos.
Swift couldn’t help but laugh, exclaiming, “This is the chicest thing I’ve ever heard!” She found the entire episode quite entertaining, imagining Kravitz and Bonet’s “elite cheekbones” as they fumbled around trying to capture the elusive reptile.
About three weeks later, when the repairs were completed, Kravitz filled Swift in on what really happened, explaining she needed an ax because the snake had gone AWOL. Swift noted that Kravitz felt frustrated her efforts to rescue the snake were publicized before she had a chance to tell her friend.
Although Kravitz kept the incident a secret while the house was being fixed, Swift had already been laughing about it for weeks. “I had to get an ax because there was a snake in my house and it got loose and went into the wall,” Kravitz had told her.
In the midst of promoting her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” released October 3, Swift had been making her rounds in the media. She dazzled in a crystal-encrusted minidress on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” where she even touched on the risqué lyrics about her fiancé, Travis Kelce. Swift expressed how nervous she felt when he proposed.
Swift also denied rumors suggesting she declined an opportunity to headline the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show over rights to the footage. “This has nothing to do with Travis. He wants me to do it! I’m just too trapped,” she clarified.
There were also lighthearted exchanges about her past with Selena Gomez, as she recalled avoiding any mentions of engagements during a wedding speech. Reflecting on her first meeting with Gomez in 2008, Swift reminisced about the good memories of that year.
After releasing her twelfth studio album, she made various appearances on radio shows and revealed a multitude of hidden elements in her music video for “The Fate of Ophelia,” playfully noting that some of the theories her fans had were quite off-base.
