Taylor Swift was absent from Sunday’s game where Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the Las Vegas Raiders.
The singer didn’t make an appearance at Allegiant Stadium in Nevada, where the Chiefs experienced a disappointing defeat in the concluding game of the 2025 NFL season.
This match followed the Chiefs’ earlier elimination from playoff contention after a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on December 14.
Throughout the season, Swift had missed Kelce’s away games because of safety concerns. However, she was often seen cheering him on at various home games at Arrowhead Stadium, accompanied by family and friends.
The last time she supported him was during the Chiefs’ encounter with the Denver Broncos on Christmas Day. In a tense finish, she was spotted nervously biting her nails as the Chiefs unfortunately lost the game.
Before that, she actively rooted for the team against the Chargers on December 18, where she was also seen happily holding one of the Kelsey children in their suite.
This latest game could mark the last time Kelce plays in the Chiefs’ regular season, as speculation around his retirement has increased. The NFL star’s emotional reaction to their playoff loss on the New Heights podcast fueled these rumors.
“Chiefs Kingdom, we’re going to give it our all,” Kelce stated on the December 17 episode, expressing commitment for the rest of the season.
While he clearly loves football, sources have indicated that he is contemplating retirement and possibly pursuing a career in Hollywood. Earlier this year, he made an appearance in Adam Sandler’s “Happy Gilmore 2” and hosted the show “Are You Smart to a Celebrity?” for Amazon.
An insider remarked on Kelce’s potential in the entertainment industry, noting his charm would be advantageous. They said he is not only likable but also a likely future NFL Hall of Famer, describing him as smart, funny, and genuine—traits similar to those of Peyton and Eli Manning or Charles Barkley.
Swift has been supportive of Kelce’s aspirations in acting, showing her support as the NFL season comes to a close.
