Little quickly took a lead over the Americans from the start and when she handed the baton over to McLaughlin-Levrone, the Jamaican team went off course and didn’t finish the race, and McLaughlin-Levrone took a commanding lead that no one could come close to.
She then handed the baton to Thomas, who extended his lead, and a fierce battle for second place ensued with Ireland, the Netherlands, and Great Britain, before Holmes completed the final leg to secure the gold medal for the United States.
