The International Brotherhood of Teamsters is calling for a nationwide boycott of Molson Coors as labor negotiations between the union and the beverage company stall.
Approximately 420 members of Teamsters Local 997 in Texas have been on strike at Molson Coors’ Fort Worth brewery for more than a month after negotiators failed to reach an agreement on a new three-year contract for the workers. .

For weeks, the union has called on beer drinkers to stop buying Molson Coors brands like Coors Light and Miller Lite to show support for striking workers. And last week, the Teamsters sent a letter to members of Congress urging them to spread the word and join the boycott effort.

In the letter, the Teamsters suggested people switch to other beer brands, particularly recommending Anheuser-Busch InBev products such as Bud Light and Busch, while also encouraging people to switch to other beer brands, such as Bud Light and Busch. “We are temporarily boycotting Molson Coors products until your office does its part and reaches a fair collective bargaining agreement with Local 997 members, and in return employers like Anheuser-Busch treat their employees fairly. We humbly ask you to purchase your beer from us,” the union said. A letter to MPs was read.

The Teamsters union alleges that Molson Coors has not negotiated in good faith and has offered workers less than $1 an hour in raises in its proposals.
A representative for Molson Coors did not immediately respond to FOX Business’ request for comment on Monday.
