Tim and Demi Lee Tebou revealed the baby's gender on Wednesday, as well as sharing biblical poems that will be placed in newborn nursery schools this summer. Tebows learned the gender of the baby by wearing a blindfold, drawing canvases in cans either blue or pink, and drawing canvases carefully prepared by trusted friends.
They then removed the blindfold and revealed artwork (pink painted canvas) that corresponded to the baby's gender.
Tebows are the parents of baby girls. They posted gender public videos on social media and shared Bible poems to be added.
“Our greatest blessing. We have prayed for her long before we knew her, and we are grateful that God chose us as her parents,” they write. “We can't wait to meet you, baby girl! To create meaningful artwork for nursery school, we decided to find gender through paintings! We chose one two biblical poems for boys and girls to add to the canvas once completed.
“The poem we want to talk about about our baby girl is Psalm 25:4-5: “Lord, show me your way, and tell me your way. I will guide me with your truth, and teach me, You are my Savior, and my hope will be in you all day.”
They announced they are expecting their first child in January.
“We pray that she will always find her identity in Christ and place her hope in his love and truth,” they wrote on social media. “Now, get this nursery in order! Bring your pink bow, frills and all the sweets.”
Tim Tebou, a former University of Florida Heisman Trophy recipient, attracted the public's attention not only for his athletic achievements, but also for his open sharing of his Christian faith. He currently works as an analyst for ESPN's SEC network and previously played in the NFL. Demi-Leigh Tebow crowned Miss Universe in 2017. Both are published authors and passionate advocates of various philanthropy. Through the Tim Tebow Foundation, they support efforts to protect and elevate vulnerable communities. Demi-Leigh's book was released last year.
