Footage from an Indian technology show shows a tragic incident in which a technology company CEO falls to his death during an elaborate and extravagant entrance.
Vistex CEO Sinjay Shah and Vistex President Vishwanath Raju Datla appeared on stage at a company celebration inside a yellow iron cage suspended 15 feet off the ground. As they are introduced, the video shows the cage staggering and both men spilling onto the stage.
Shah, who landed on his head, died and his colleague remains in critical condition, the New York Post reported.
Venue officials at Ramoji Film City claimed the fatal accident was caused by a break in the wire securing the cage, but an investigation is ongoing.
