Ted Cruz was alongside Trump as Musk began his criticisms

Cruz Comments on Trump and Musk Feud

Senator Ted Cruz shared insights about President Trump’s reactions as Elon Musk launched online attacks against him on Thursday.

In his podcast, “The Verdict with Ted Cruz,” he mentioned, “I was there, sitting in an oval shape while all this happened. Trump was really mad. He was venting.”

As tensions mounted, Musk criticized Trump on social media, referring to the president’s “big and beautiful” settlement bill as “nasty.” Musk has been vocal, urging Congress to reject it.

Musk commented on the escalating feud, stating, “Without me, Trump would lose the election, Dems would take control of the House, and Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate.”

Cruz, who is friends with both men, described their public fallout as “incredibly painful.”

He expressed concern, saying, “I feel like it’s like being kids of divorced parents who wish mom and dad would stop arguing.”

As the week progressed, the conflict intensified. Trump hinted at canceling government contracts worth billions with Musk’s companies, while Musk accused Trump of not releasing files related to Jeffrey Epstein.

Cruz remarked, “It escalated quickly. It went from zero to 11 in no time.” He noted that both are strong personalities and their anger was evident.

Cruz and his co-host discussed their views on the matter. They acknowledged the need for Trump’s budget bill while agreeing with Musk’s concerns about government deficits.

Co-host Ben Ferguson pointed out, “Elon seems to think Congress is actually functioning and aims to help the country, while Trump understands that many aren’t genuinely focused on Americans.”

Meanwhile, Musk retracted his post about the Epstein files, suggesting he might be ready to step back. However, Trump indicated he isn’t eager to reconcile just yet, saying, “I’m not going to tell him.”
