“Knots Landing” star Ted Shackelford was recently seen on a rare outing in Los Angeles. The 80-year-old actor was photographed in a blue collared shirt, layered with a matching knit cardigan, alongside black trousers, sunglasses, and sneakers.
Shackelford gained notoriety for his role as Raymond Gordon on “Another World,” where he appeared for 110 episodes before taking on the part of Gary Ewing in the acclaimed series “Dallas,” and subsequently its spin-off, “Knots Landing.” He portrayed the Ewing family’s black sheep from 1979 to 1993 and continued to have a successful acting career afterward.
Interestingly, after playing Gary for so long, he once shared that he never really liked the character. In a 2013 interview, he described Gary as “weak” and expressed a desire to see him show more courage and depth.
