A 13-year-old boy was found unconscious in a swimming pool at Discovery Cove theme park in Orlando, Florida, on Tuesday and later pronounced dead, police said.
Anna Beaumont, 13, was pronounced dead at the hospital on Wednesday.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that deputies were called to the popular all-inclusive resort at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday after a report of an unresponsive teenager.
Authorities said she was found in one of the many pools at Discovery Cove theme park and was quickly taken to hospital in critical condition.

The sheriff’s office confirmed Wednesday that Beaumont died at a hospital after the incident.
SeaWorld aficionados and twin brothers who attended the camp as children are working at the park on the anniversary
The 13-year-old boy died from accidental drowning, according to the coroner’s office.

Orange County police say they are still actively investigating the incident.

At Discovery Cove, a sister park to SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica Orlando, guests can swim with dolphins and snorkel with thousands of tropical fish in a tropical environment, according to the park’s website.
