Teen Mom Producer Morgan J. Freeman Criticizes the Killing of Charlie Kirk After Expressing a Wish for an America Without Him

Morgan J. Freeman, a producer of Teen Mom, spoke out against the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk this week, despite having previously envisioned an America without him.

“As Americans, we need to unequivocally denounce the murder of Charlie Kirk. He remains a figure not fully understood. Violence of any kind must be condemned,” Freeman stated in a post on X. “His untimely demise is a part of the perilous violence that endangers our communities and our freedoms to worship.”

“While the reasons behind this act are still unclear, we can all agree on one thing: violence is never acceptable,” he continued.

People quickly pointed out that he had previously mentioned wanting an America without Charlie Kirk.

Charlie Kirk, 31, was shot while speaking at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. He leaves behind his wife and two children. President Trump shared his condolences when he heard the news.

“The legendary Charlie Kirk has passed away,” Trump remarked. “I don’t think anyone understood the youth of America better than Charlie. He was always there for everyone, especially me, and now he’s gone. Melania and I send our deepest sympathies to his family and his wonderful wife, Erica. Charlie, you will be missed!”

Similarly, Vice President J.D. Vance mentioned that Charlie Kirk died doing something he loved: “Discussing ideas.” Vance shared:

Someone else noted that Charlie engaged with hostile audiences and answered their questions. If he faced a friendly crowd and progressives responded with jeers, he would encourage them to settle down and let the discussions unfold. He truly embodied the principles of our Republic: an openness to dialogue and the exchange of ideas.

Democratic leaders have condemned Kirk’s assassination as senseless political violence.

“Make no mistake. Regardless of whether you disagree with someone’s beliefs or oppose their views, resorting to violence is never justified, as we saw today at Utah Valley University,” they stated.

“Political violence, in any form, is unacceptable in America. Yet, as I referenced when my friends Melissa and Mark Hortman were killed earlier this summer, such violence is becoming all too common.”
