A 15-year-old boy was stabbed Saturday night on a boardwalk in Ocean City, New Jersey, over Memorial Day weekend, sending throngs of panicked beachgoers fleeing the area.
Police say the idyllic summer getaway spot turned into a scene from a horror movie when an unidentified male suspect stabbed a teenage boy on the boardwalk between 9th and 10th Avenues just after 9 p.m.
Footage from the aftermath of the incident showed a crowd fleeing the stabbing scene as emergency personnel raced to the scene. NBC 10 Reports.
The victim, whose name has not been released, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Police said the stabbing happened after a fight broke out on the boardwalk, but they did not provide further details about the incident and the investigation remains ongoing.
