A teenager, dressed in a shirt resembling that of the accused murderer of Charlie Kirk, was involved in a disturbing incident at a memorial outside the Turning Point USA headquarters, honoring the co-founder who was killed. Authorities reported that 19-year-old Rider Corral was attacked at the site where friends and supporters had left flowers and mementos in memory of Kirk, who was fatally shot at Utah Valley University last week.
Video footage captured the moment when Corral was overwhelmed during the memorial service, as attendees reacted passionately, some in anger. In the chaos, he was reportedly injured as he was stomped on by members of the crowd grieving for Kirk.
Witnesses described how an upset crowd quickly turned against Corral, grabbing the memorial’s structure and throwing it to the ground. Law enforcement had to step in, pulling him away from the distressed group, restraining him, and taking him into custody.
Corral, who sported a black t-shirt featuring an American flag and a bald eagle—similar to one worn by Tyler Robinson, the alleged killer—faces potential charges of criminal damage and disorderly conduct, according to Phoenix Police Sergeant Phillip Klinsky.
Interestingly, this incident follows another confrontational event just hours after Kirk’s death. In Idaho, a heated altercation erupted at the Capitol when a cyclist confronted mourners and shouted derogatory comments about Kirk, leading to a scuffle as his supporters retaliated.
It seems that tensions and conflicts surrounding Kirk’s tragic death are escalating, with incidents like these only contributing to the unrest.
