Final Thoughts on the Last Season of Tell Me Rise
As the credits roll on the third and final season, fans of Tell Me Rise might find themselves feeling a bit stuck in 2015. With a whole bunch of unresolved questions lingering, many are left wondering if Bree (Cat Mass) and Wrigley (Spencer House) will eventually end up together.
In an interview discussing the season finale, creator Megan Oppenheimer addressed some common fan inquiries about events from 2009 to 2015. Amidst the wedding reception scene, viewers were particularly curious if the warmth that Bree and Wrigley shared across the room hinted at a possible future together.
Season 3 surprised audiences with a delightful, unexpected romance. Although we didn’t see quite enough of this pairing on screen, Oppenheimer’s writing combined with Mass and House’s heartfelt performances made the connection feel authentic and deep within a limited timeframe. But was that chemistry strong enough to suggest a hopeful ending? Here’s what the cast and Oppenheimer shared about Bree and Wrigley’s future after the series wrapped up.
“I don’t want to commit to anything, just in case, but I really do love them together,” Missal expressed when asked about Brigley. “I believe there’s a genuine truth to their relationship that’s hard to find, so I hope for the best for them.”
“Absolutely,” House chimed in enthusiastically. “If we hadn’t hinted at this direction, I don’t think the audience would have bought that last shot of them closing their eyes and smiling.” And honestly, he has a point!
Oppenheimer confirmed in her discussion that Brigley made it through the tumultuous finale. Bree and Evan find a way to stay connected amid the chaos after their wedding.
“Oh, for sure! We were intentional about capturing that moment,” Oppenheimer admitted. “I wrote in the script, ‘Despite this chaos, these two will figure it out,'” she noted about the scene.
Once Stephen reveals the hidden truth about the friend group’s secrets at the reception, it seems Brigley has triumphed, with Diana (Alicia Crowder) and Pippa (Sonia Mena) leaving together. Still, Branden Cook, another star of Tell Me Rise, speculated that the fallout could put Evan and Wrigley’s friendship to the test.
When asked if Evan and Wrigley could remain friends after Bree’s revelation, Cook said, “Honestly, they should have stopped being friends ages ago. I’m surprised it lasted so long. I mean, inviting those people to the wedding? That’s wild. So, I’m not sure how it will turn out, but I think it might be over. Evan seems to be moving on.”
Now, dear fans of Tell Me Rise, throughout these three seasons, we’ve witnessed numerous tragedies and chaotic events. But at least we were blessed with Brigley, right?
