There's something appealing about New Year's resolutions. The idea is that a new and better version of yourself may emerge in the new year. Maybe this is the year you run a marathon or finally learn French.
But setting a goal and sticking to it are two different things. According to 2023 forbes poll 44% of U.S. adults keep their New Year's resolutions for two to three months. Only 6% last more than a year. in England17% of Brits give up on their resolutions within a month, and 11% within a year.
