Tell us: What’s your main worry as an NFL fan with training camp approaching?

With July 4th now in the rearview mirror, the spotlight turns to the upcoming NFL training camps. Aside from the unsettling story involving Najee Harris, it’s the next big focal point on the NFL calendar.

This moment is ideal for assessing where each team stands before all the action kicks off.

We’ll highlight key concerns for each team as they enter training camp, but we’d love to hear your thoughts too. Feel free to share in the comments!

What if Drake May doesn’t progress?

In New England, a few years after Mac Jones was the 15th pick in the 2021 draft, Drake May is now under scrutiny as a potential standout in the 2024 class. Behind an offensive line that struggles to offer protection, he showed flashes of promise last year. Patriots fans might be hopeful for significant growth by 2025.

But what if that doesn’t pan out?

There’s a general expectation for young quarterbacks to make big leaps in their second year, yet development isn’t always straightforward. While New England fans might feel the team has improved its chances this season, there’s uncertainty. Did they truly bring in the right coaching to nurture May? With Mike Vrabel now involved and Josh McDaniels back, are they the best fit for a young quarterback’s growth?

It’s a lot to consider for Patriots fans.

The Bears’ Offensive Line Depth

The Chicago Bears seem poised to win the NFL offseason title for the third year in a row. They landed a top coaching candidate in Ben Johnson from the Lions and have revamped their offensive line with three new starters. However, entering the training camp, the depth of that line raises concerns. Rookie Ozzy Trapiro, a second-round pick, is slated to be a key player, supported by last year’s holdovers Ryan Bates and Bill Murray.

With QB Caleb Williams sacked a staggering 68 times last season, the Bears have made strides in improving their line. Yet, injuries could still pose a significant risk. – Ricky O’Donnell

Blythe Young’s Performance: A One-Time Wonder?

Blythe Young’s end to the 2024 season felt almost miraculous. In his last four weeks, he threw for 831 yards with an impressive 65.5% completion rate, achieving 8 touchdowns against just 2 interceptions. It was celebrated as one of the season’s best comebacks, leaving fans like me frustrated that the season ended when Young was finally hitting his stride.

Heading into 2025, the expectations are even higher. The offense remains largely unchanged, but additions like Ricodaudoll and Tetaroa Macmillan could enhance team dynamics. Plus, the offensive line is quietly one of the league’s better units.

But… what if it doesn’t happen? I can’t shake the worry that Young’s stellar performance last year was just a fleeting moment in an otherwise challenging season. If he falters, I genuinely don’t know what the franchise’s next steps should be. They might need another quarterback. It’s been a rough journey since Cam Newton left, and I had hoped for some stability. – James Data

Confusion with the Browns’ QB Situation

Cleveland Browns fans have faced a turbulent existence. After initial hopes with Baker Mayfield and the brief “Flacco Fever” run, Deshaun Watson’s trade has deepened frustrations even more than the infamous 0-16 season.

As the 2025 season approaches, there’s a sense of starting anew amid talent that’s been squandered over recent years. Yet, the quarterback dilemma persists. Fans have few options to cling to, between veterans like Joe Flacco, failed first-rounder Kenny Pickett, and other less proven choices.

The major concern is whether Cleveland can find success with the current roster. There’s a chance they might need to target a new quarterback in the 2026 NFL Draft, depending on how things unfold this season. The hope is to see some clarity with the extra picks in the draft, as securing a solid quarterback is becoming increasingly crucial. What more can they ask for? – Jared Mueller

Jaguar’s Offensive Line Spending: Is It Enough?

In Jacksonville, the approach to the offensive line has been more measured rather than splashy. With Patrick Mekari joining from Baltimore and Robert Hainsey from Tampa Bay, plus other signings, there’s a sense of cautious optimism. Still, I worry that these small additions won’t suffice.

The Jaguars are counting on tackles Walker Little and Anton Harrison for improvement, and there’s hope their coaching will help elevate the unit. If the offensive line can come together, there’s no reason the offense shouldn’t thrive. With a healthy season for QB Trevor Lawrence and a talented receiving group, they could recreate the explosiveness seen previously. However, if they struggle early on, it may lead to long, challenging days ahead. – JP Acosta
