A child was seriously injured by a hoodie sold at Temu, and the product is currently being recalled.
Several glow-in-the-dark hoodies from online marketplace giant Tem have been recalled over concerns about the risk of “severe burns.”
The Pink Rainbow Unicorn, Purple Rainbow Unicorn, Blue Dinosaur and Space Planet hoodies are included in Product Safety Australia's recall warning because they do not contain the required warning label.
“This product does not meet essential standards for children's nightwear,” the warning states.
As a result, the child was seriously injured.
“Exposure to heat or flame sources may result in severe burns. Consumers may not be aware of this risk,” the PSA warning states.
“An accident occurred in which a child was seriously injured.''
Consumers are urged to keep this product out of the reach of children and to destroy or dispose of it immediately.
“Consumers will receive a full refund from Temu on behalf of Sunshine Towel,” the alert states, and details are available at the Temu Support Center.
