A Tennessee hairdresser is facing criminal charges for allegedly threatening a customer with scissors worth more than $30, according to a report Monday.
The incident occurred on the night of September 13th in Memphis, Tennessee, police said in an incident report provided to FOX News Digital.
Officers responded to a business at 6870 Hillshire Dr. for an aggravated assault around 10:40 p.m.
Responding officers noticed there was no visible signage at the store that read “LUHV MY HAIR.” Officers found the victim inside the vehicle, but the suspect was not at the scene.

The victim told officers she arrived at the hair salon for an appointment around 5 p.m. and said she paid the hairdresser $410 through the Zelle app.
The victim said the hairdresser owed her an additional $30 from a “previous incident” four years ago.
The suspect threatened the victim with a pair of scissors and yelled, “Pay now and remember I put these scissors next to your face.”

Police said the victim was confused and tried to de-escalate the situation. Before the victim called 911, the suspect told the victim, “I'm going to take this off,'' ostensibly referring to her hair, police said.
The suspect became more agitated and demanded an additional $50 and ordered the victim to leave the salon.
The suspect's name is not listed in the police report provided to FOX News Digital. However, including local outlets, action news,identified the suspect as 31-year-old Michelle Ray.

Ray was booked into the Shelby County Jail last Wednesday, but was later released on $7,500 bail, the department said.
