Tennessee Unveils Shocking Statistics on Crime Committed by Migrants

Tennessee Immigration Report Reveals Stark Crime Statistics

The Tennessee District Attorney General’s Office has released its yearly immigration report, revealing that in 2025, illegal immigrants were involved in 2,183 violent crimes. This includes 41 murders, 145 sexual offenses, and 11 cases of child rape.

State Representative Dan Howell, a Republican, expressed his astonishment at the findings, stating the data is “really, really bad.” He highlighted that these are the individuals that some, perhaps on the liberal side, seem intent on defending while advocating to defund Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Howell emphasized the severity of the situation, mentioning, “41 Tennesseans lost their lives, and hundreds experienced sexual assaults perpetrated by illegal immigrants. This is absolutely unacceptable in our state,” urging authorities to take decisive action.

The 2025 Immigration Report, made public on January 30, is mandated by law, which instructs the gathering and analysis of data from law enforcement about individuals charged with crimes who lack legal status in the U.S.

The reported crime statistics come from a specific form developed by the Tennessee General District Attorneys General Assembly. Police are required to fill out these forms when they arrest non-citizens.

The report indicated that during 2025, there were 21,648 charges filed against illegal immigrants out of 11,344 cases, averaging close to 1,000 monthly reports. It’s worth noting, though, that this figure might not be entirely accurate, as one county, Bledsoe, did not submit their data in time.

In terms of origins, the report accounted for immigrants from 119 different countries, showing the extensive impact of illegal immigration on the state’s population.

Many of the crimes listed illustrate the significant effect on residents, including:

  • 2,183 violent crimes
  • 41 murders
  • 1,592 assaults
  • 145 sexual crimes
  • 11 cases of child rape
  • 40 cases of aggravated kidnapping
  • 2,920 instances of drunk driving
  • 5,318 cases of driving without a valid license
  • 966 carjackings
  • 36 felony firearm offenses
  • 66 assaults on police or first responders

This report is the second to align with state regulations, following the inaugural 2024 report, which only gathered data from 73 of Tennessee’s 95 counties. That report found that 2,719 noncitizens faced criminal charges.
