Teoscar Hernandez is going to Hollywood.
The outfielder agreed to a one-year contract worth $23.5 million with the Dodgers. Joel Sherman of the Post It was confirmed Sunday night.
With this short-term deal, the All-Star hitter will join a revamped Dodgers team poised to be a top contender to win the World Series in 2024.
Hernandez becomes the second Dodgers free agent signee to defer a portion of his back pay.
The 31-year-old will defer his $8.5 million payment from 2030 to 2039. ESPN's Jeff Passan reports..
Passan also reported that the outfielder opted for a short-term contract with more money than the multi-year offer Hernandez was receiving.
Hernandez's contract with the Dodgers includes a number of incentives. According to Fabian Aldaya of The Athletic.
Hernandez will receive $1 million if he wins the Silver Slugger Award and will receive incentives ranging from $500,000 to $3 million depending on his place in MVP voting.
Hernandez returns from a year in which he hit .305/.435/.741 with 26 home runs and 93 RBIs with the Mariners.

He also brings a powerful bat to the Dodgers lineup that can hit left-handed pitchers well.
Hernandez has a career OPS of .887 against left-handed pitchers and won the Silver Slugger Award in 2020 and 2021 while with the Blue Jays.
Hernandez's addition continues the Dodgers' offseason spending spree, with the Dodgers spending well over $1 billion on free agent acquisitions this winter.
