Terry Bradshaw recently shared that he missed the “Fox NFL Sunday” broadcast due to a cold.
The 77-year-old NFL analyst reassured fans that he is “okay” after his absence during Week 11 stirred some concern online.
In an Instagram update, Bradshaw explained, “Just to be clear, I won’t be on Fox today. I just have a cold. I’ll be fine.”
During the broadcast, host Curt Menefee noted that Bradshaw had left early because of his illness. “You may have noticed Howie Long is here,” he pointed out, indicating the missing Bradshaw as the team kicked off the noon ET show.
Menefee mentioned that Bradshaw came into work feeling unwell, and it was during the morning that he decided to head home. “We send our love to him,” he added.
Howie Long and Michael Strahan chimed in with support. Long expressed, “I missed you, dude!” while Strahan humorously remarked, “We drove him home; please let me know that.”
Menefee provided further context on Bradshaw’s background, noting the legendary quarterback’s health history. He’s been quite forthright about his medical challenges, having battled bladder cancer and a rare form of Merkel cell skin cancer in previous years.
Back in January 2024, Menefee had also mentioned being under the weather, which led to his absence from the NFC Championship broadcast.
Bradshaw, known for his candidness and occasional gaffes on-air, has been a fixture on “Fox NFL Sunday” since its beginning in 1994.
In other news, Rob Gronkowski, who recently announced his retirement from the Patriots, has joined this season’s pregame show, taking over from Jimmie Johnson, who retired after 31 years with the program.
