Terry Bradshaw’s travels tend to be quite eventful.
This time, the former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and Fox analyst found himself in an unexpected situation at the TSA. On Monday morning, as he went through security at Springfield Branson National Airport in Missouri, he was singled out for a more intensive screening.
Bradshaw, who is 76, wasn’t thrilled with the extra attention. Fortunately for us, a companion captured his reactions on video.
“I’m not safe, but this is ridiculous!!” he expressed in a video shared on Facebook. “TSA has approved me; I’ve tapped my body, checked all my items, unpacked each. Now here I am in a private room for another pat-down.”
While he was clearly frustrated with the security measures, Bradshaw maintained a light-hearted demeanor, even joking around with the security personnel.
He was in Branson to perform his show, “Terry Bradshaw Show,” which is currently touring the country. The show features Bradshaw storytelling and singing.
Just a day before this incident, he had wrapped up his performances in Branson, where he gained fame as a four-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback in the 1970s.
This isn’t the first unusual occurrence for Bradshaw at the airport recently. Back in April, following a flight that had just landed in Pittsburgh, passengers were trapped on the plane due to a jammed exit door. According to a passenger named Cera Gamble, there was some laughter when the pilot remarked that the issue was resolved thanks to one passenger’s strength, implying it might have been Bradshaw.
However, Bradshaw quickly refuted that claim, stating, “Just to set the record straight… they did nothing to open the door! The maintenance crew had it open in 15 minutes.”
