ABC News Correspondent Terry Moran Exits the Network

Terry Moran, an ABC News correspondent, is departing from the network following a critical social media post aimed at President Donald Trump and Senior White House aide Stephen Miller. An ABC News spokesperson stated, “We are concluding our agreement with Terry Moran, and due to his recent posts, which clearly breached our policy, we have opted not to renew.” The spokesperson emphasized that ABC News maintains high standards for objectivity, fairness, and professionalism in journalism.

There was noticeable disappointment among ABC News staff regarding Moran’s “very stupid” remarks about Trump, which prompted immediate action.

Moran, who has been part of the network since 1997, initially faced suspension when his comments, described as “virus repulsion,” came to light. In his post, he referred to Stephen Miller, suggesting he embodies the negative aspects of the Trump administration. “Miller is not the mastermind behind Trumpism; rather, he channels its ideas into policy, which is… well, it’s not really the point about him,” Moran wrote. He went on to characterize Miller as a “world-class hater,” implying that his hatred was a central part of his identity.

Moran continued to equate Trump’s actions with “world-class hatred,” describing it as something that ultimately undermines his own success. This ultimately led to his firing just weeks after a contentious interview with Trump, where the president had criticized Moran live during their exchange.

In that interview, Trump remarked, “They’re giving you a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. You’ve got the job, and frankly, I’ve never heard of you, so it’s okay. I chose you, Terry; you’re not very good.” This interaction hinted at a tumultuous relationship between the two.
