The Texans made a game-changing choice earlier this week by removing Steven Sims from their practice squad.
And it immediately paid dividends.
Fresh off the practice field, the 26-year-old wide receiver wowed the Baltimore crowd with a 67-yard punt return touchdown late in the second quarter of the AFC divisional round game, tying the Ravens at 10-10.
With 4:34 left in the first half, Sims caught a punt at Houston's 33-yard line with the Texans chasing the Ravens for a touchdown.
In what appeared to be an easy maneuver, Sims stumbled a few steps and ran up the middle of the Ravens' punt coverage into the end zone to tie the game.
The decision to transfer Sims was first made after veteran receiver Noah Brown injured his shoulder in the Texans' win over the Browns in the wild-card round.

Sims, who spent most of the regular season on the practice squad, appeared in three games this year and had three catches for 25 yards.
He has five receiving touchdowns and one on a kick return in five NFL seasons, but Saturday's score was his first on a punt return.
