Texans surprise Bills' Josh Allen with an unexpected victory

Bills Fall to Texans in Close Game

The Buffalo Bills faced a tough loss against the Houston Texans, ending the game with a score of 23-19 on Thursday night.

The outcome hinged on a crucial Bills drive with just two minutes left. They managed to stay alive by converting a 4th-and-27 with a lateral pass to Khalil Shakir. But, ultimately, they faltered on a critical fourth-and-6 in the Texans’ red zone, leading to a game-ending interception thrown by quarterback Josh Allen.

This defeat marked the second consecutive win for the Texans over the Bills, with backup quarterback Davis Mills stepping in for the injured CJ Stroud. Mills has performed quite well, boasting a 3-0 record since taking over.

In fact, Mills had arguably his best game on Thursday, throwing for 153 yards and two touchdowns, which is impressive, to say the least.

Meanwhile, the Texans’ defense put significant pressure on Allen, recording eight sacks throughout the game. Allen even had to leave the field briefly in the first half due to wrist concerns, which I’m sure added to the tension for Bills fans.

With this victory, the Texans improved their record to 6-5, keeping them in the hunt for an AFC Wild Card spot. Currently, they’re only half a game behind the Jacksonville Jaguars for the final Wild Card position.

On the downside for the Bills, their record now stands at 7-4, putting them behind the New England Patriots in the AFC East. It’s going to be an interesting stretch for both teams as the season progresses.
