fox 26 Sources report that 11-year-old Audrey Cunningham went missing Thursday after failing to catch her school bus or class and was found dead Tuesday afternoon.

Her body was found by searchers in the Trinity River near Livingston, Texas. At 4 p.m., officials held a press conference to alert the public to her discovery.
Thursday, February 15thth, Audrey missed the school bus in her neighborhood in the Livingston area and never arrived at school. As a result, an Amber Alert was issued for her.
Officials said the 11-year-old boy’s last known companion was Don Stephen McDougall, a man who lived in a trailer right next door to the family’s home. He sometimes helped her parents by driving the girl to school and the bus stop.
McDougall was reportedly close friends with Audrey’s father. According to the investigation, he has a long criminal history and has been convicted of several violent crimes.
McDougall now faces a capital murder charge in her death.
Authorities were lowering water levels in the Trinity River as they searched more closely for the 11-year-old victim. Police said she was initially “not visible to the naked eye,” but another search party took to the water in a boat and later discovered her body.
