Austin is in chaos!
Texas Longhorns fans were completely enraged Saturday night, littering the field at Darrell K. Royal Memorial Stadium with cans and bottles following a scandalous pass interference call in favor of the Georgia Bulldogs. . The play occurred at a critical moment in the third quarter.
A pass interference penalty with three minutes remaining nullified a massive interception by a Longhorns defensive back. Jade Baronand it immediately drew the ire of the Texas fan base. In response, Longhorns fans scattered trash on the field, requiring cleanup and delaying the game. Authorities then canceled the call and the wiretaps remained in place. Texas scored a touchdown moments later to cut UGA's lead. 23-15.
Georgia went on to win the game, but 30-15.
