Texas fugitive, Leo Acosta Sanchez, in US illegally arrested

On May 25, authorities in Texas arrested an international fugitive wanted on murder charges.

Splendora police worked with federal authorities to arrest 21-year-old Leo Acosta Sanchez, who was in the state and country illegally, the Splendora Police Department announced in a press release.

Sanchez “was known to commute between Splendora and his home in Terrenos, a Houston suburb that offers cheap land for sale.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) told Fox News Digital that Sanchez is originally from Mexico.

“Mr. Acosta entered the United States as a nonimmigrant on Aug. 20, 2023, and violated the conditions of his admission,” ICE said in a statement.

“She remains in ICE custody pending disposition of her immigration proceedings.”

“Alert” officers caught up with Sanchez during a “routine patrol” and “identified a wanted individual behind the wheel of a vehicle and immediately called for backup,” the report said.

“Upon arrival of additional units, a traffic stop was conducted and the driver, identified as Leo Acosta-Sanchez, was immediately arrested.” Splendora PD He said in a press release.

Local police worked with the Department of Homeland Security to detain Sanchez, who is accused of crimes allegedly committed outside the United States.
