Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced that state officials working with the Department of Homeland Security are conducting immigration and law enforcement activities at Colony Ridge.
“Colony Ridge is being targeted today,” Republican Abbott announced on X on Monday.
Colony Ridge, less than an hour's drive from Houston, Texas' largest city, is a residential development that promotes in Spanish for quality land for low payments. It is believed that there are thousands of illegal immigrants living in the community, and reportedly the cartel activities are important and there is little police presence.

The governor said Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers and special agents were working with a homeland security investigation this morning on projects at Colony Ridge, which “targets criminals and illegal immigrants.”
Abbott said he has been working on the operation “for months” with President Donald Trump's border emperor Tom Homan.
In response to concerns that his post would put law enforcement operations at Colony Ridge at risk, Abbott began the operation hours before his post, saying, “My post has someone in this area to know about the operation.” I'd have been.”
However, a DHS spokesman declined to comment on the operation, citing the need to maintain confidentiality regarding the operations and concerns of the safety of the agents involved.

Local outlet ABC13 Officials from the nearby Liberty County Sheriff's Office reported that they have further confirmed that DPS and ICE operations are ongoing.
Another outlet called vindicator At least one local man, 24-year-old Roberto Alfaro, reported seeing a “masked” agent he believed was “forcibly” arresting Mexican citizens outside his home from the ice did.

Alfaro told Vindicator he had never seen anything like an ongoing surgery at Colony Ridge and was “scary.” He mentioned concerns that his mother and father would be deported to Honduras and El Salvador.
