Texas has spent more than $124 million to bus migrants to New York and other cities: report

Texas spent more than $124 million busing immigrants to New York City and other blue states.

The Lone Star State has cut at least $124,603,616.19 in its bus program since April 2022, according to . Records obtained by media company Nextstar from the Texas Department of Emergency Management, which oversees the program.

The result is an influx of 100,000 immigrants from Texas heading to the Big Apple, Chicago, Philadelphia, Denver, and Los Angeles, bloating budgets and wreaking havoc in their wake.

Texas taxpayers foot more than 99% of the cost, records show.

Approximately $460,000 was raised by the state in the form of voluntary donations from the show’s avid local fans. According to the office Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

Immigrants are traveling voluntarily by bus from Texas and do not pay out-of-pocket transportation costs.

Records show millions of illegal immigrants have entered the country since President Biden took office, with more than 300,000 entering the country in December 2023 alone.

In New York City, migrants are being held in shelters at the Roosevelt Hotel, Floyd Bennett Field, and the vast tent city of Randall Island.

This week, a group of immigrants were captured on video allegedly beating an NYPD officer, but they were quickly released without bail and their current whereabouts are unknown.
