A Texas mother was killed the day before Mother’s Day when she took one of her daughters to pick out a prom dress, according to the woman’s family.
Dallas police responded to a shooting in the 2100 N. Masters Drive block in Dallas just after 4 p.m. Saturday.
Investigators determined that four people were shot at the location and taken to another hospital. One of the four, 39-year-old Ana Moreno, died of her injuries. Police said on Sunday that other bystanders, all adults, were in critical condition.
Police said the two drivers opened fire on each other from separate vehicles while driving east on Bruton Road. Moreno’s car was caught in the crossfire and died, police said.

It remains unclear whether other bystanders are victims of the shooting. No suspects had been arrested as of Monday afternoon, police said.
“I was so excited to see her getting ready for prom,” Moreno said in another testimony. daughter told FOX4. “She was so excited for us to graduate, that was all she wanted.”

Moreno’s family created a GoFundMe page to help with funeral costs. Moreno is survived by a son and two daughters.
