Texas mom, real estate agent missing after private club party, husband arrested

The husband of a missing Texas mother of four has been arrested on suspicion of a fight the Sunday night before her disappearance, police said.

Brad Simpson, 53, was arrested Wednesday in Kendall County on domestic violence charges in connection with the disappearance of his wife, Suzanne Simpson, according to Olmos Park police.

There was a “disturbance” between the Simpsons at the Argyle club in the Alamo Heights neighborhood of San Antonio between 10 and 11 p.m. Sunday, Olmos Park Police Chief Fidel Villegas said at a news conference. A neighbor told police he saw Brad and Suzanne arguing outside his window, and the pair then began a physical fight, the outlet reported, based on a police report. That's what it means.

Neighbors said they saw Brad “grabbing his upper torso for control,” and when they went outside they heard screams coming from a nearby wooded area.

Neighbors also told police they saw Brad drive away in a pickup truck about an hour later and return about an hour or two later.

Villegas said at a news conference that friends and family have told police that Brad has been “uncooperative” and that there is “tension” within the family.

He has been charged with assault causing bodily harm, family violence and unlawful restraint in connection with Sunday night's incident.

Suzanne, 51, a real estate agent, was last seen Sunday at 11 p.m. in the 500 block of East Olmos in Olmos Park. She is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs approximately 140 pounds, and has brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a long black dress and black heels.

Her friends and family said her sudden disappearance was “very unusual”.

“Suzanne was known as a very loving and trusting person, especially with her children and her work,” Villegas said. She has no contact with her children and does not go to work.

Police are continuing to search for Suzanne and are searching the woods. Villegas said they found two pieces of evidence of interesting objects in the woods.

Brad Simpson was sent to the Kendall County Jail on $1 million bail on both charges, for a total bond of $2 million, according to jail records.
