Investigation Closed into Allegations Against Daystar TV Member
The Coryville Police Department in Texas has wrapped up its investigation regarding claims of sexual abuse involving a person referred to as “Pete.” This individual is accused of having sexually abused the granddaughter of Joni Lamb, the co-founder and president of Daystar TV Network.
In a statement shared on X, Daystar mentioned that “the Coryville Police Department officially concluded the investigation without any further action or charges regarding allegations of abuse within the Lamb family.” This news came on Wednesday.
Reportedly, last November, Joni Lamb’s son, Jonathan, and his wife Susie addressed accusations against Pete. Allegations surfaced that Pete had abused his daughter, who was five years old at the time, during the summer of 2021. He accused Joni Lamb of protecting her son and undermining his character.
Joni Lamb later insisted that the boy was indeed abused at her granddaughter’s kindergarten. The situation has garnered significant media attention, with conflicting reports circulating about the allegations against Pete. Daystar’s statement noted that previous police documents indicated that an unnamed child was implicated in abuse allegations, which were then misattributed to Pete.
Moreover, Daystar emphasized its cooperation with law enforcement throughout the investigation. They also stated that Pete volunteered for an interview with the police and underwent two lie detector tests conducted by experienced professionals.
As the investigation concluded, Daystar reiterated that no evidence suggested Pete’s involvement in any crime. They expressed their commitment to taking any allegations of sexual misconduct seriously, yet they highlighted the absence of evidence supporting the claims in this matter.
Coreyville Police Service Sergeant Dara Nelson confirmed that the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office found insufficient evidence to pursue charges, while stating that if new information came to light, the case could be revisited.
In reaction to Daystar’s statement, Susie Lamb asserted that the situation is not as straightforward as it seems. She explained that without new evidence, the police would have to close the case temporarily, which could last until the alleged victim decides to speak out. She emphasized the often lengthy process of children coming forward about such matters and acknowledged the family’s hope for justice in the future.
In summary, Daystar maintained that the lack of evidence led to the closure of the investigation, while Susie Lamb expressed that the story is far from over.
