Texas Woman Arrested in 24-Year-Old Murder Case

A woman from Texas has been arrested in connection with a murder investigation that has lingered for nearly twenty-five years, following the death of her husband.

Lisa Honrad, aged 55, was taken into custody on Monday in Waxahachie, as reported by the Frisco Police Department.

Honrad is linked to the murder of her then-husband, Frank Weiss, who died in 2002. His body was discovered near Lewisville Lake, marking the beginning of a two-decade search for justice.

Details on what prompted the arrest remain unclear, but authorities have indicated that advancements in investigative techniques, modern technology, and insights from key witnesses played a vital role in progressing the case.

Although Honrad faces murder charges related to this cold case, it hasn’t been clarified if she has secured legal representation since her arrest.

Frisco Police Chief David Shilson expressed gratitude to the investigators dedicated to the case. “The Weiss family has been waiting for answers for 24 years. Today’s arrest is a crucial step toward justice, and we’ll continue to work until everyone involved is held accountable,” he stated.

The Frisco Police Department has yet to respond to inquiries regarding this situation.
