Texas woman who was drugged, kidnapped shot her attacker dead: Police

A Texas woman who was drugged and kidnapped told police that she turned the tide by shooting her.

At around 12:42pm on March 15, emergency services reportedly responded to a call from a 45-year-old woman who claimed she had been drugged and abducted by an assailant. The alleged victim, a Montgomery resident, also claimed to have shot the assailant.

Deputies initially did not know the female suspect’s whereabouts, but they located her near a winery.

Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. statement“Deputies arrived on scene and observed the vehicle in question parked outside the westbound lanes. Deputies observed a man deceased in the front seat and paramedics He was confirmed dead.”

Police met with the alleged victim near the crime scene, about 110 miles east of Austin, Texas.

Law enforcement has not released the name of the alleged victim. She was transported to a local hospital.

The alleged attacker was identified as Lance Damon Reed, 49, of the Houston area, according to the Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office.

Police said the investigation is “ongoing.” No further details were provided by the Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office.
