Tez Johnson’s Ex-Fiancée Accuses Him of Deceit
Lila Thompson Weiner, a part-time staffer for the Seahawks, recently shared her side of the story on TikTok, revealing that Tez Johnson, a wide receiver for the Buccaneers, was unfaithful to her in a particularly shocking way. In a video aimed at her audience of over 200,000, she claimed that Johnson’s betrayal occurred on the very day they got engaged last year.
According to Thompson-Weiner, February 21, 2025, was supposed to be a special day. Johnson had arranged a series of romantic activities—visiting a reptile zoo, proposing, capturing moments at the beach, and ending with a sushi dinner. However, what started as an enchanting day quickly soured for her.
Feeling elated initially, her emotions shifted when she discovered that Johnson had been cheating on her, both in the morning and later that night. She described how, after their engagement, she received troubling texts from him showing communication with an ex-girlfriend. It appears that just before their planned day, he had reached out to her with questionable messages.
More than 12 hours after their engagement, Thompson-Weiner claimed Johnson texted his ex again, asking when they might tie the knot. Stating, “I need a throat,” in one of the texts, she expressed confusion over how he could betray her in such a manner before and after their big moment. “It’s something I’ll never understand,” she remarked, suggesting that it reflects a deep-seated issue in his character.
She conveyed a level of disbelief, suggesting that a person must have sociopathic tendencies to act in such a hurtful way. Thompson-Weiner also shared her hopes that speaking out might assist other women in similar circumstances. “If I had to deal with that darkness, perhaps I can use this experience to foster conversations about healing and create a supportive space for women.”
For context, Johnson was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft, finishing his rookie season with 28 receptions for 322 yards and five touchdowns.
