One of the most lopsided wins in hockey history happened last weekend, and it didn’t involve powerhouses like Canada or Russia. The U-18 Asia-Oceania Championship was held over the weekend and Thailand soundly defeated Kuwait with a truly baffling score of 57-0.
Thailand, which has transformed into a powerhouse in the youth hockey world in recent years, defeated Kuwait 122-1. They scored his 17 goals in the first period and 28 in the second. Then they casually decided to score 12 more goals to end the game.
A closer look at the numbers revealed some absolutely ridiculous statistics.
- Natapat Paton led all skaters with 13 points, including 7 goals and 6 assists.
- Natyayaton Yanakornthannapunt played defense and finished with 11 points with seven goals and four assists.
- Kuwait’s poor goalkeeper Faisal Alenkawi played in every game and actually made 65 saves to his credit (combined with 57 saves)
- There is a player in Thailand named Kenneth Nathan Thongson, and I mentioned him as an excuse to post this photo of Cisco.

Tongson finished with four points.
Thailand has become one of the best DGAF teams in international hockey. After years of being trampled in international competition, they have now grown into such a young powerhouse, taking revenge on everyone who stands in their way.
Thailand will next face Iran on Thursday, who lost their first match to Uzbekistan 19-0. That means preparing for another big day for the Thai team. We will follow you too.
