(Nexstar) – We're still a few hours away from Super Bowl LIX, but the commercials set in the air during the action are already attracting attention.
Over 120 million viewers are expected to take part in Sunday's game, with businesses paying top dollar to make sure they're visible to millions of viewers.
Demand for the advertising space has been strong this year, according to Mark Evans, executive vice president of advertising sales at Fox Sports.
High demand appears to have pushed prices to the record, with some ad spots selling for a record $8 million and even selling for over $8 million for 30 seconds. Fox declined to comment on a particular price tag for 30 seconds. This may vary depending on placement and other factors. However, in a revenue call in November, CEO Lachlan Murdoch said the advertising space was sold out at “record-pricing.” Last year, the 30-second spot reached the reported $7 million.
Even the Secret Service reportedly participates in advertising action. CNN reported The agency will air recruitment ads during the Super Bowl.
Despite these large price tags, some companies released their ads well before the game began. Below are some of the most talked about this year's Super Bowl commercials.
