The 4 best women’s basketball players remaining in the transfer portal

Women’s College basketball transfer portal will be closed on Wednesday. Graduate transfers can be entered into the portal at any time, but other players who enter the portal after April 23rd – except for changes to coaching – will need to sit for the season or apply for a waiver from the NCAA.

However, once players enter the portal there is no deadline to commit to a new school. Some players have already been on the transfer portal for several weeks. It may take some time to find another program in sports. Over 1,400 players have joined the portal this season.

Some players have already landed alongside future teams. Notre DameOlivia Miles is here TCUSouth Carolina picks up Tanya Ratson of Florida and Madina Ocott of Mississippi, and Duke’s Ortiokananwa ends in Maryland, Olemis Signed a few talented players, including talented players Ohio‘s cotie mcmahon.

The best player left on the portal is undoubtedly South Carolina’s Milasia Fullwily. The electric sophomore guard, who has signed an approval agreement with the Under Armour curry brand, remains a free agent.

Beyond Fully Wiley, the portal still has many other talented players looking for a new home.

Gianna Kneepkens

In Utah, the Kneepkens have become one of the best 3-point shooting games in the country, ranking ninth in this past season 3.1 with a 3-pointer. She was almost a member of the 50-40-90 club, shooting 50.4% from the floor, 44.8% from the 3-point land and 89% from the charity stripes. Her 19.3 points per game was 31st in the country.

The 5-foot-11 guard from Duluth, Minnesota, was an all-conference player for three seasons at UTES and was named the Pac-12 Rookie of the Year in 2022. In 104 games, she shot 43.2% from behind her career, averaging 15.6 points per game.

According to multiple reports, Kneepkens will also visit SEC Powers South Carolina, Texas and Oklahoma and will visit UCLA. In all four locations, she predicts she will soon become a starter and a player who can help bring the program to the final four.

Serra Williams

Perhaps the best true post player left on the portal, 6-foot-4 Williams was the Big Ten defensive player of the year in Wisconsin for the 2023-24 season and was also the first-team selection of the two All-Big 10. She was one of four players across the nation, averaging at least 19 points, nine rebounds and two blocks this past season, hitting those marks while shooting 49.3% off the floor.

The Big Time suitor is one of Williams’ finalists in the service. She’s already visiting LSUNorth Carolina and uconn Her talent is also competing.

Williams never played in the NCAA Tournament in his three seasons in Wisconsin. Between these three options, it can change wherever she chooses.

Ally Kubek

This is my second trip to Kubek’s transfer portal. After averaging 14.6 points per game for Towson in the 2021-22 season, the forward from Elkton, Maryland joined the Terps of Brenda Freeze, where she was a key rotation player for the NCAA Tournament team.

The 6-foot-2 Kubek averaged 9.1 points and 4.3 rebounds in 23.2 minutes per game in TERPS’ 66 contests over two seasons. In three NCAA tournament games of the past season, she averaged 15.6 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game while earning four shots from 3-point lands.

She is a 35.8% career 3-point shooter game and is a solid and consistent role player like Maryland, making her a Power 4 team hoping to run a deep March madness. A source told SB Nation that NC State was interested.

Kayley Heckel

Former MacDonald’s national, Heckel averaged 6.1 points, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steel as a Trojan freshman in 16.9 minutes per game this past season. The 5-foot-9 native from Port Chester, New York, was tabbed by ESPN as the 13th best recruit in the 2024 class.

She has started seven times at USC over this past season, breaking over 10 20 minutes of playing time in one game. Her best outing probably won the Trojan second round NCAA tournament at Mississippi State. There, after being injured by Juju Watkins, she got off the bench and paid a season-high six assists, 13 points, 2 steels and rebounded in 20 minutes.

Heckel can have a big impact when playing time increases. She has plans to visit Notre Dame, Vanderbilt and Michigan.
