The issue: President Trump dismissed claims that Americans face serious affordability issues.
President Trump appears to be out of touch, much like previous leaders. Many voters are feeling the pinch of affordability, and it’s becoming a pressing issue, as noted in recent discussions.
It seems that those in charge often forget what everyday life is like. It’s frustrating watching my earnings shrink amid rising living costs.
Things were tough under Biden, but now they seem to be getting worse under Trump. Perhaps it’s time we start choosing leaders who genuinely understand the challenges of daily life, rather than those sheltered from it.
I voted for Trump, and now I wish I could take that vote back.
Just last December, a container of coffee was around $5; now, it’s topped $20. Trump claims the economy is thriving, but I think that only highlights the burdens on consumers.
As someone on Social Security, the ongoing trends might push me to seek work again just so I can help Trump tout job growth.
Every day, I come across articles pointing out that Trump hasn’t done enough to curb rising prices. This seems to be a key reason behind Zoran Mamdani’s recent mayoral win. Did we forget how prices surged during the last administration? It’s unrealistic to believe this situation can be fixed so quickly. It feels like it’s easier to blame Trump than to hold accountable those responsible for the situation.
Both political sides should really come together and address this issue.
One idea I have is for Trump to spend $100 at a supermarket to see just how much basic items cost today. It might just open his eyes to the reality of living expenses.
We also can’t ignore that Trump is seemingly in a struggle with the Fed to lower interest rates. A decrease of three points could mean huge savings—like $935 a month on mortgage payments—which could really help countless Americans.
This could be one of the most significant bipartisan economic opportunities right now. Hopefully, the media will keep an eye on how this unfolds.
The issue: Jamal Bowman is pushing to become mayor-elect Zoran Mamdani’s school principal.
Religious and private schools need to grasp the dangers posed by socialism, Marxism, and anti-Semitism in education. The expansion of these school options should be a priority for families unable to leave the city.
Teachers who are hesitant to back anti-Semitic candidates should take a moment to rethink their positions and remember what happened in Germany in 1933. We should consistently showcase videos of candidates like Jamal Bowman making derogatory comments about our democracy, Israel, and those they disagree with.
None of the candidates for chancellor seem prepared to lead the country’s largest public school system. Parents want their children to learn foundational skills and thrive based on their own efforts, not be subjected to anti-Semitic ideologies.
If Bowman is as knowledgeable as he claims, perhaps he should handle all fire drills.
