Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO) continued his fight to eliminate alcohol, cigarettes, firearms and explosives (ATFs) by using the X-Post on Wednesday to remind Americans that “ATFs are not your friend.”
Burrison's post said, “Free countries don't need gun control enforcement agencies.”
His posts represent the latest in a long series of statements calling for federal agencies to be repealed.
On November 25th, Breitbart News reported that Burlison called the ATF a “disaster” and said, “For decades they were disaster agencies. [which has] It violates the Second Amendment. ”
On January 13th, Breitbart News noted Burlison's claim that the ATF was using taxes to violate American rights. In a post on X, he I wrote it“ATFs use your taxes to infringe your constitutional rights. Does that sound like freedom to you?”
February 22, 2025, he Used Another post to shed light on the law designed to abolish agents saying, “HR 221: 'HR 221 abolishes the ATF. It's simple. It eliminates this redundant institution that consistently violates the Second Amendment Rights.” ”
Burrison Reposted A message from the American Firearms Association states:
The ATF is a symbol of tyranny and is responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans. Hundreds of thousands of Americans were used to harassment, bankruptcy and fear. It should now be torn to the ground, not a few years. We cannot wait for the political wind to change. Please discontinue ATFs!
On January 17, Breitbart News noted that House members of the Burlison bill were lined up to “repeat the ATF” and were taking part in a call to completely abolish the ATF.
