The Biden-Harris Ticket Is ‘Set’

The Democratic nominee is “decided” to be President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) said. Breitbart News DailyThis cast doubt on Democrats’ ability to replace the 81-year-old Trump as their nominee.

“The Democratic Party has no alternative to Joe Biden,” Blackburn said after the debate, where the octogenarian Biden’s lackluster performance sparked panic among Democrats across the board.

“They don’t have the wherewithal to do that. Their rules are so onerous to their convention and the organization of it, and Jason Miller did a good job going over that last night. And what we know is that their nominee is set,” the senator said. “So it’s going to be Biden-Harris.”

“And what we know is that the American people watched last night’s performance and decided that Joe Biden is not up to the job, and the Democratic Party knows that,” she said, explaining that Democrats are now fighting “to defend some of these seats at the local, state and congressional level.”

She also said many Democrats in weak districts are nervous because they “know Joe Biden can’t win as a top candidate.”

Blackburn stressed that given the qualification requirements, it’s not realistic to think that Biden could easily be replaced by another Democrat.

“I don’t see how he can back out. … The thing is, their ballots are set. You have to qualify for them in each state. You have to qualify by a certain deadline. Their convention rules are pretty onerous and you’ll see all of that,” she said, predicting Democrats will probably “try something” as they see the harsh reality that Biden is “done.”

“I think the question is, will he try to recuse himself or will he lose, but they have a very hard way to remove him from the election,” she said. “Their rules don’t allow that.”
