There's always something unpleasant about the arrival of the holiday season and the impending end of a terrible football season. Ho, ho, ho, and woe, woe, woe.
The Giants will not be working on Christmas Day this year. Head coach Brian Daboll changed this week's schedule, putting players in the building on their normal day off (Tuesday) and giving them Wednesday off. It's up to you how much of a festive mood and cheer you want to gather. As a team, the Giants are 2-13 after losing their last 10 games, and those who are really looking forward to Sunday's final home game against the Colts are those who were born in Baltimore or Indianapolis (if you're old enough). Either you're playing, or you're already playing. There's nothing more productive than sitting outside in the cold (and possibly rain) and watching a bad team try to avoid becoming the first NFL team ever to go 0-9 in their own stadium. There are almost no such things.
The Giants currently own the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, but they are looking ahead. Looking back, there are many reasons why so many losses occurred.
Here are the five most disappointing aspects for the 2024 New York Giants.
