MEXICO CITY – The bodies of four men and two women found strangled and dumped in the mountains in Mexico’s Pacific coast resort city of Acapulco, prosecutors in the southern state of Guerrero said Tuesday.
Her body was found on the street late Monday with her hands tied behind her back. The identity of the victim and the motive for the killing are currently under investigation.

Otis killed at least 52 people and destroyed or damaged most of the hotels.
Last week, five dismembered bodies were found on the streets of Acapulco.
One of the victims was running for city council in the nearby town of Coyuca de Benitez.
In early May, Acapulco’s traffic police chief was shot and killed.
In February, the strangled bodies of two men were found on Acapulco’s popular Condesa Beach.
Prosecutors in the Pacific coast state of Guerrero said the man’s body showed signs of “ligature torture” and “marks of torture around his neck.”
Mexican drug cartels often suffocate their victims by strangling them or wrapping duct tape or plastic bags around their heads.
