Tiger Woods has opened up about whether he will continue his golf career, explaining that his physical recovery is not progressing as expected.
At a news conference in the Bahamas, Woods said he has a “long road” to being “competitive” against PGA Tour opponents.
Woods said last year that he hoped to play at least once a month in 2024, but he only played five times this season and even withdrew from a tournament due to illness. He made just one cut in those five tournaments. 60th place at the Masters.

Woods expressed a desire to continue playing golf, saying, “The fire to compete is still burning.”
“The difference is that the body's recovery to do that is not what it was before,” he added.
“I still love to do it. I love to compete. I love to compete in anything, whether it's cards or golf. Whatever it is, I love to compete. It'll never go away. But as long as it lasts, it's a recovery process where you go out there and do it over and over again and do it consistently at a high level, but for some reason your body just doesn't recover like it used to. '' Woods said with a shrug.

As for future commitments, Wood said he could start over with new commitments, but he doesn't really know when he'll recover.
“I'm just trying to rehabilitate myself and still get stronger, get better, feel better and give myself the best chance for next year.”
