Summer Plaid: Burberry Teams Up with Hunza G

Who says you can’t rock plaid in the summer, right?

As warmer days approach, Burberry has teamed up with Hunza G, the brand known for its body-hugging, stretchy swimsuits that many celebrities rave about.

This limited edition collection marries Hunza G’s unique crinkled fabrics with Burberry’s classic plaid design, and surprisingly, everything is under $500 each.

“I’ve been chatting with my team about this collaboration for around five years,” Georgiana Huddart, the founder of Hunza G, shared in an interview with Vogue, calling it a “dream” partnership.

She also mentioned that it’s like a natural collaboration, particularly since Burberry enthusiast Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was one of the first to flaunt her designs.

The collection features models like Alva Claire, who is fronting the Coastal campaign alongside actress Simone Ashley, known from The Devil Wears Prada 2.

This line incorporates three of Hunza G’s popular pieces: the Tyler bikini, the Domino, and Faye’s one-piece. Each swimsuit comes with a matching scrunchie, beautifully trimmed in the signature check pattern.

Similar to their other swimwear, these designs provide stretch to fit sizes ranging from 2 to 14.

One standout item for Huddart is the versatile Devyn swim skirt. She mentioned, “It can be worn as a boob tube or a miniskirt.” She appreciates its versatility, noting it works well for added coverage and looks great with jeans too.

When compared to the typical Burberry price point, the $375 design is quite appealing. However, if you’re interested in getting your hands on this collaboration, it might be wise to act quickly—these pieces are likely to fly off the shelves.
