‘The Daily Show host’ Jon Stewart cuts hand in DOGE rant

“The Daily Show” host Jon Stewart was injured in his hard-flingering rant on the Trump administration's government efficiency (DOGE) after failing to chase Big Pharma on the show Monday night.

Stewart gave credit to President Donald Trump for trying to make the federal government more efficient in his opening monologue, but the recent federal worker layoffs were “emotional because they are looking for efficiency.” He said he felt like a whiplash.

“But apparently, civil servants in our country have become synonymous with waste, fraud and abuse,” he said sarcastically.

Stewart challenged Doge's claims about savings, suggesting that there are other ways to curb government spending.

Pretending to be a Doge employee, Stewart read the calculator and mug as “World's Most Dad,” an obvious reference to the Doge Head Elon Musk.

Instead of firing federal workers, Stewart said agencies should focus their energy on eliminating spending elsewhere. He cited examples such as cutting billions of dollars in subsidies to oil and gas companies and pharmaceutical companies.

“Holy s —! I can't believe it! I've only saved billions of dollars in 11 seconds,” Stewart laughed.

The comedian then turned his anger at former President Joe Biden last August after boasting that his administration had negotiated the prices of 10 prescription drugs for Medicare beneficiaries.

“That was a small drop in the bucket and the American people didn't expect us to negotiate for all their f as we've already paid it with subsidies. So that would be embarrassing!” Stewart, ironically, said he became more and more upset and broke the mug while he spoke.

“Come!” he cried out before looking at his injured hand and hiding it under the desk.

“I'll go to the hospital soon,” Stewart said with a laugh, returning to his rant.

The liberal comedian told the audience not to blame the companies he called “profit psychopaths,” but to blame the government for subsidizing corporate greed.

“But why do taxpayers subsidize their mental disorders? It's a waste, fraud, abuse in our system,” he said. “That's it. That's what we should chase.”

“We're getting an f [Sean] Diddy [Combs] The party and they are making us buy baby oil,” the comedian added.

He suggests Democrats will “people audit” to Democrats, highlighting government funds and corporate tax credits and suggesting Democrats like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in New York or Jasmine Crockett in Texas. We called for people to keep it on a daily basis.

Towards the end of his monologue, his audience was breathless as Stewart temporarily revealed his hand.

“It's okay!” cried Stewart with a laugh.
