The events to watch at the Paris Olympics on Wednesday, August 7

Start your day with Olympic climbing at 9am ET, as one female climber will be crowned gold medalist in the women’s speed final.

Polish climber Aleksandra Miroslaw dazzled crowds on Le Bourget, breaking her own world record twice, clocking 6.21 seconds on her first run and 6.06 seconds on her second.

Emma Hunt of the U.S. team, who won silver at the 2023 World Championships, also advanced to the final in 6.38 seconds.

Starting at 1pm, it will be another action-packed day in track and field with medals being awarded in the women’s pole vault final, men’s discus final, men’s 400m final and men’s steeplechase final.

Semi-finals will also be held for the men’s 110m hurdles, 400m hurdles, men’s 200m and women’s 400m.

The fastest man in the world, Noah Lyles, won the final heat in a time of 20.19 seconds to qualify for the 200m semi-finals.

The American athlete won the gold medal in the 100m final in 9.79 seconds.
