Following the example of the first presidential debate between Trump and Biden in July, one candidate's microphone will be on when answering questions, while the other candidate's microphone will remain muted until it is their turn to speak.

ABC News also reported that Trump and Harris will each have two minutes to answer each question, then two more minutes each to refute and “one additional minute each for a follow-up, clarification or response.”

Neither candidate will be allowed to bring pre-written notes onstage, there will be no opening statements from either side and each participant's closing statement will be limited to 120 seconds.
